My career in the culinary industry was serendipitous. I thought I was funny, so my goal was to be a comedic writer in New York. However, I could not pay my bills with my opinions. Thus, I found myself managing a breathtaking restaurant overlooking the George Washington Bridge.

The chefs took my cultural foods and turned it into art. I fell in love with the madness. It sparked a love for food that blossomed even after illness forced me to a wheelchair. Through plant-based living, I walked again. I remixed cultural flavors into healthy creations. I launched successful food truck coined Big Bertha. Now, I am bringing that passion to your home.
